If they wanted to, they would

# If They Wanted To, They Would

Have you ever had someone in your life who shows up for you with ease?

They respond to your messages.

They make time to see you.

If they can’t, they offer another time that works.

With them, you don’t question where you stand. You don’t feel uncertain about your value in their life. Their actions are consistent, and that consistency builds trust. You feel cared for—without having to ask for it.

Not every kind person will show up in this exact way, and that’s okay. People have different capacities, communication styles, and responsibilities. But when someone is important to you, their presence should feel supportive—not confusing, inconsistent, or draining.

Pay attention to how people make you feel.

The people who leave you feeling seen, respected, and valued are showing you something important. Those feelings are not случай—they are information. They help guide you toward the kinds of relationships that support your well-being.

One simple practice to help you stay connected to this:

Keep a dry erase marker in your bathroom. Each night, write down the names of the people you interacted with that day who made you feel good—people who brought you ease, kindness, or a sense of connection.

In the morning, as you go through your routine, pause for a moment. Read those names. Remember how you felt in their presence.

Let those feelings matter. Let them guide your attention.

The more you notice who brings light into your life, the easier it becomes to choose relationships that reflect your worth.

Keep those moments. They are showing you what you deserve.
